Two Year Anniversary!!!

Two years!!!   Most people celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14 but we now also celebrate the anniversary of the day we closed on our house in 2014! Wow!
Here is a picture of the family the day we celebrated Terry’s birthday.

Since we are so close to the grandkids this winter, Kathie has been able to volunteer in their classrooms.  She tries to go once a week and eat lunch with them, too! Eating lunch in an elementary school cafeteria is quite the event! Loud but controlled would be a good description!
Alina had her tonsils out in February, so Kathie was able to help with childcare so Jen & Ray could keep working.  She was a trooper and is feeling so much better after dealing with illness for the last 2 years.
We continue our workamping duties and are at the end of the busy season here at Palm Creek. When we are not helping set up tables and chairs for dances or performances we help the “special events” department when they need extra manpower.  We recently helped with the “End of the Season Luau” where we set up tables and chairs for over 1,000 people then helped in the food serving line during the event.
Just before we took our positions in the serving line!
Terry has been able to ride his bike about 20 miles when he can fit it in around our work schedule.  Kathie has spent time in the Sewing Room and enjoyed the like-minded ladies there.  It is so much fun learning new tips from everyone.
This the first MESH BAG I made when taking a class in the sewing room!
We both came down with a respiratory illness during February, but only missed a couple shifts at work.  We also picked up extra shifts from others that were dealing with the crud too!
There are many pickleball events here at Palm Creek. They have the most number of pickleball courts in one place so this is a popular place to have tournaments.
Took the kids to the nearby Schnepf Family Farm.  They have a “pick your own” organic garden.  The kids had so much fun pulling carrots out of the ground!  Then I said, “Now when you see carrots in the grocery store, you know where they come from.”  Their eyes got real big and the light bulb went on!
We were able to celebrate the Bronco’s with other Coloradoans here!  They had an already planned “Colorado” potluck gathering the same day they won the division title!  Lots of Orange & Blue in the room that night!
When we leave here May 1, we will be headed to Wyoming to spend the summer in Yellowstone National Park.  We will take the route through Utah to get there so won’t be in Colorado till after Labor Day this year.  We have jobs in the Old Faithful General Store as sales associates.  If you plan to be in Yellowstone this summer, please stop by to see us!
