Christmas in Arizona

Christmas 2015 found us in Casa Grande Arizona at the Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort. We arrived on December 1 and will be here till May 1, 2016.
All the family gathered in Arizona at Jennifer’s house for Christmas Day and then celebrated Terry’s 70th birthday on Dec 26!  What a special time we had! It has been two years since we were all together in the same place!  Christmas 2013 was our last one celebrated on Monarch Pass Drive in Colorado Springs.
Parked in Casa Grande Arizona, we are only 20 miles from Jen, Ray and the grandkids.  The kids have already spent one night with us in the motorhome and there are plans for more sleepovers!  We have already been to their school for “movie night” to watch Lion King on the big screen in the school gym.  Kathie has plans to help in both of the kids classrooms as time allows.
We are workampers during our time at Palm Creek.  We are working part time in the Activities Department, helping with the monthly craft fair and then setting up tables and chairs for the many dances and performances in the “ballroom”.  We are also learning to play pickleball which is a major activity at Palm Creek. It is really fun to play!  (Pickleball is a paddle game on a court smaller than tennis using a ball that looks similar to a whiffle ball.)
When we leave here May 1, we will be headed to Wyoming to spend the summer in Yellowstone National Park.  We have jobs there in the Old Faithful General Store as sales associates.  If you plan to be in Yellowstone this summer, please stop by to see us!
We enjoyed the summer of 2015 in Hayward Wisconsin at the Hayward KOA campground.  Kathie worked in the office and Terry work outside.  It was fun to have several of Kathie’s relatives come to visit us while we were there and for Stephanie and Daniel to come out from California. On our way to Arizona this fall we stopped in Colorado to spend time with Sarah and Kathie’s mom and in California to spend time with Stephanie and Daniel.
Showing off on the school playground!
