We
are in week two of four weeks in California.
We are having a nice visit with Stephanie & Daniel. It is nice to be able to go to their church
while we are here.
Terry is able to ride his bicycle along the American
River trail just outside our campground at CalExpo. Kathie found a Curves a few miles away. She enjoys getting reacquainted with the
girls from visiting last year. Kathie
has been helping out at the Capital Christian School. The elementary school staff are excited to
have her helping once a week.
We
also drove about an hour east of Sacramento to the Apple Hill area of the
state. www.applehill.com. What a fun time to go to the orchards to get
fresh apples, apple cider and apple bakery items! They also have wineries in the area! It is very popular.
Kathie also was invited to participate in Preview Day at
William Jessup University. She was part
of the “parent panel” segment that day. It was nice to be able to have lunch
with Stephanie after the segment.
We
are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with Stephanie and Daniel. We are invited to dinner with Daniel’s family
at his cousin’s house.
We
are getting some rest after a busy summer and gearing up for working in
Arizona.
Oh,
by the way, we accepted a job offer for the summer of 2016. We will be working in Yellowstone National
Park at the Old Faithful General Store!
If you get to Yellowstone next summer, stop by to see us there. 2016 will be the 100th anniversary
of the National Park System.
