We are now in Livingston TX, near Houston. We are volunteering at the Escapees Care

We had three days of training by “shadowing” the December
volunteers. We have now completed the first “rotation” of duties over 3 days. We
worked 39 hours the first 7 days! We are
doing dishes, cleaning tables and vacuuming among other duties. We also get the meal counts for the lunch and
evening meals and deliver meals when needed. We unlock and lock the building
some days, too.
What a great place to volunteer! Everyone is so friendly. The residents, staff and other volunteers are
a joy to work with.
Kathie even got to play cards one night and play the game of
WIZARD. I had not even heard of it but
they were willing to teach me. They may
be sorry since I won the second game we played!
