December in Tucson

After Thanksgiving, we were able to spend 2 more weeks in Tucson visiting Jennifer, Ray and the grandkids.  We had a BLAST with them!  The grandkids stayed overnight in our RV one night each of the 3 weekends!  We spent time on playgrounds, attended a Kids Christmas program on the base, Christmas programs at a few churches, U of A planetarium holiday program, Tucson Children’s Museum and eating Happy Meals and Lunchables.  We even got to attend 3 different programs at their school over the last 4 weeks!  We had not been in town to attend any before this.  One day we even surprise them by picking them up after school!  And both of them each lost a tooth while we were here!
They even made snow at the base Christmas party!  The kids had a BLAST playing in real snow!

Fun on the playground.

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" says Alina!
We even got to see Jennifer & her dog, Kane, in action as they volunteered for the Humane Society at the Children’s Museum.

When the grandkids were with us for 6 weeks this summer I took over 1,000 pictures! Well, I picked out 150 of them and created a picture book via Walgreen's website.  Since we would not be with them for Christmas, I gave the kids their copies before we left.  Alina said “This is the best Christmas present ever!”  They enjoyed remembering all the fun we had together!

We parked our RV at the FamCamp on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.  The FamCamp is located on the base right next to the boneyard.  How impressive to see all those planes in storage every day.  Here is a link if you want to find out more. http://www.dm.af.mil/units/amarc.asp

Tucson Sunset!
I was able to attend Curves most days while in Tucson.  Terry enjoyed riding his bicycle on the base.

We are now headed to Texas.  We will spend the week of Christmas near Austin TX, then head to Livingston TX, near Houston for the rest of the winter.
