Thanksgiving in Tucson

We spent Thanksgiving in Tucson Arizona with family.   Stephanie & Daniel flew in from California to celebrate with us. Jen & Ray hosted dinner and we all chipped in making part of it.

The Nelsons always find special coffee shops to take us to.
The menu consisted of Polish food.  Thanks to Chris & Patty for shipping out perogi from White Eagle Polish Deli in Chicago.  We made Kolochky with apricot, raspberry, almond and poppy seed filling.  Then chicken paprakash with green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.
Xalin helping his mom make kolachky dough! The tradition continues!
I think Grandma Sophie would be proud of the results!

After dinner Alina looked at pictures of Grandma Sophie and family.

Wednesday night, Aunt Stephanie & Uncle Daniel had a slumber party with Alina & Xalin.  They watch movies, played with Barbie, legos, and Alina did Aunt Stephanie’s hair. How fun to eat candy and ice cream late at night!  Let it be noted that they brushed their teeth before going to sleep!
Staying up late with Aunt Stephanie!
A sample of Christmas decorations found in Tucson!
I heard someone in Tucson AZ say "I'm going to plant my winter flowers this week." Boy does that sound odd to me! Adjusting to being in warm weather during the winter!
