Back to life without the grandkids

The grandkids are back in Tucson.  It sure is quiet in the motorhome!  This trip back to Colorado without kids was more relaxing than the trip to Tucson!  When we talked to the kids and their parents after we left, it sounds like there will be a period of adjustment/retraining after being with the grandparents for 6 weeks!  We all knew it would happen, just not sure how long the adjustment will take!

We will be in Colorado till Aug 25.  We will start off in Denver/Aurora then finish off our time in Colorado Springs. If you have time for a cup of coffee during that time, let me know.  Now we are working on plans for Sept and Oct.  Headed to Illinois and Wisconsin to see Kathie’s relatives and friends.  Then work our way down to Livingston TX by the first week of November.

Will take I-80 across to Illinois.  We will stop at the Amana Colonies and then in Le Claire Iowa to see the American Picker’s store. Any other suggestions for stops along the way?

We are back at Buckley AFB Fam Camp in Aurora CO. We love their reasonable rates!  Within a couple of hours of our arrival we were greeted with a rain and wind storm.  Terry went out in the rain to save our small awning and retrieve items floating/blowing down the road!  What a nice welcome back to Colorado!

We look forward to visiting with Sarah, starting today by going to her church.
