First stop was the Grand Canyon. It definitely was a “WOW” factor when the kids
saw it the first time and each time we stopped for a different view. Xalin had
heard about the “big hole in the ground” and was looking forward to seeing what
it looked like. The kids worked on and
received their “Junior Ranger” badges after completing a number of activities in
their booklet. That makes two badges they
have earned so far, the other one being at the Saguaro National Park in Tucson.
The second night we went to watch the sunset over the
canyon. While we were there it started
to drizzle and then guess what happened?
Yes, not only one rainbow, but a DOUBLE rainbow! Boy, that sure was worth getting wet in the
rain! We also had fun riding the bus along the south rim.
How Amazing, Beautiful and Awesome the Grand Canyon is! Yeah God for your creation! If you have never been to the Grand Canyon, I
think it is worth adding it to your “bucket list”.
We took another 4 days to get to Denver, spending the nights
in Gallup, Albuquerque and Raton along the way.
In Albuquerque we drove to the hospital where Alina was born to take her
picture in front! She had not been there
since that special day over 6 years ago.
