On the road.... finally!

We finally got our back our motorhome after the upgrade, the car hitched to the back and got on the road.  Drove to Abiline TX.  There were some strong winds from the north, so while we were driving west, it took some skill to stay on the road!  Terry did a GREAT job driving.  We made our first visit to a truck stop to get $150 worth of diesel fuel.  The truckers were so nice to us!  We stopped at a rest area to eat lunch in the motorhome.  How fun to be able to do that, like old times. I’ll bet the girls remember doing that years ago when we had our 21 foot Hi-Lo trailer!  Saw many many wind farms along I-20.  See pictures at the rest stop.

Stayed at Abilene RV Park right next to highway. It is just for one night, so it won’t be bad with the traffic.  The jacks/levelers went down without a hitch!  Went to eat steak at Beehive Steak House and had a GREAT meal.  Then WalMart for a few items, then home to do laundry.   Then headed to Carlsbad NM to meet up with a  RV driving instructor for lessons.
