Wow, we are just now
starting to feel back to normal. After
we finished our volunteer commitment at the CARE Center, we both came down with
a respiratory virus. No fever, but we
sure didn’t feel like doing much the first three weeks of February. I’m glad we didn’t have any commitments to
back out of. We have been able to attend
church only a couple of times since we got here December 29.
We are experiencing an
unusually cold, wet winter in Livingston Texas!
Lucky for us we were here!
NOT! We are thinking of someplace
farther south next winter. Hopefully a
place that that has average or hotter winter weather!
Kathie’s cousin, Linda,
and her husband Robert drove here for lunch this week. They live just on the
other side of the Louisiana border. It was nice to see them and be able to show
them the Rainbow’s End campground and tell them about Escapees RV Club.
Finally visited the
Johnson Space Center in Houston. Boy that Saturn V is HUGE! The moon rocks in
the vault were awesome!
Kathie is still doing
some volunteer hours at the CARE Center, helping with a few short term
projects. She drove some residents in
this bus to the Rotary Pancake Dinner!
