We had a chance to take
Stephanie & Daniel away for the weekend in our motorhome. We drove to our campground in Gilroy on
Friday. Saturday we went to Monterey Bay
Aquarium in Monterey. Wow, how awesome
to see the beauty of God’s creation. We
were able to see the rare Vampire squid that had only been on display for a
couple of days. Sunday we visited the
National Steinbeck Center/Museum in Salinas. Thanks to Daniel we have a renewed
interest in author John Steinbeck. Terry
& I already read Cannery Row in preparation for our visit but now we want to
read more of his books.
Earlier in the week
Kathie volunteered at Capital Christian School helping in a kindergarten and
first grade class. She was also able to
help with graduation preparations at William Jessup University. Then there was the Northern California
National Day of Prayer breakfast where there were many inspirational prayer
leaders along with guest speaker Lee Strobel.
